Why didn’t anyone tell me how much running hurts? Holy guacamole! I ran 1.5 miles the first night, walking the majority. Last night I ran a mile, splitting the running and walking about 50/50, but I had to stop because my legs hurt so damn bad! So tonight I’m just going to walk, nice and easy. I’m really impressed with how much my legs and feet hurt. I guess that’s what happens when you go from couch potato to marathon training
I’m trying really hard to get around to blogs, but I’ll be honest, my motivation is nill by the time I get home, and I’ve been crazy busy here at work. I’m trying though. Everyone just please be patient with me
Oh, and if anyone wants to get together and run, walk, or ride a bike (which I still need to buy!) let me know! I’d love to have a partner!!

ugh I hate hate hate to run. good for you for doing it! I go to the gym but I would much rather do the elliptical then step on the treadmill… and of course running out of doors… in the heat??? no thank you! You will be amazing by the time you finish! good for you!
Good for you for running! I will throw my two cents in, being a former dedicated cross country runner for years in my former life… if your feet and shins hurt you need new shoes! There are lots of good sporting shoe stores you can go to that will evaluate your tootsies for free and get you in the right shoe. Makes all the difference.
Muscle soreness is one thing, but feet and shins is another.
Oh, and could you throw a mile in for me?

I used to do light (1M per day) almost every morning before work. It was a chore, and not something I was particularly fond of…
You are stretching before you run, right? Stretch your calves, thighs, and hamstrings, especially.

Congratulations on getting started and continuing to run!!! I did that sort of thing in a past life (i.e., in my late 20’s, early 30’s). If you keep it up, you’ll be so healthy you can’t stand it

I’m pretty sure I did tell you that running hurts. In fact I told you multiple times…..
But I’m proud of you for taking up a hobby and after awhile it won’t hurt anymore and you’ll start to experience runners high. I don’t know what the feels like since running is against my religion but I hear it’s nice.
