So, here’s what Patch and I have been doing since my surgery
Speaking of dogs, I’ve been thinking about getting another one. John said if I want another one it has to be a small one, which is fine. I’ve been looking at Shih Tzu’s. They’re cute and supposed to be good family dogs. I’m thinking if I do get one, I’ll get an adult from a rescue that needs a good/new home. We’ll see.
So this is what happened earlier. I moved the carton of eggs in the fridge, let the door shut, and heard it hit something. I turned around to see the egg carton partially hanging out and egg dripping down. Great. So I open the door a bit to survey the damage, and let go of it again to grab a towel. Another crunch. 2 eggs down. Damn! Oh well. This is why you don’t play in the fridge high!!
So, on to the movie reviews! Tonight we’re reviewing My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Blood Diamond, and Ant Bully (yup, kids are home!)
My Super Ex-Girlfriend was ok. It had funny spots, and it had a good ending, just didn’t jump out and grab me. I’d say if you’re bored and it happens to be on, watch it. But don’t go out of your way to see it.
Blood Diamond was amazing! I’ve been watching so many movies about Africa lately, and it really intrigues me. I’d like to study it and learn more! But yeah, the movie was great, and was really touching in some places. The one man in the movie was a little screamy for my taste, but I’d say that was my only complaint. I definitely recommend this movie! It is a bit gory though, just an FYI.
The kids loved Ant Bully. I was dozing, so I can’t tell you anything about it, not that I would, but they kept waking me up laughing
I think tomorrow when they get home we’re going to watch Open Season. I’ve been really wanting to see it, so let’s hope I can stay awake
So there you have it folks. The good, the bad, and the ugly!

open season was good, i thought.
i mean, for a kid’s movie.
haven’t seen blood diamond though, maybe during easter break.
hope you’re feeling better soon- rest!!
That’s why my fridge is always empty. No chance of any losses
Sounds like everything is coming along nicely, except for the fever and such. I’m adding Blood Diamond to the list of movies to see. My son said it was supposed to be excellent. I don’t read reviews of movies if I hear they’re good; I just like to see ‘em without knowing anything about them. Movies are best that way I think.
Okay…so since I’m new here…what kind of surgery did you have? I realize it was your nose but what to your nose?
We saw The Departed the other night…it was a great movie but I had too many questions at the end, I think they have left it open for a part 2.
I am going to buy Happy Feet today, I hear that is a great one.
You’re looking better! I see some colour in those cheeks. It’s amazing how clean hair can make you feel, hey?
I haven’t seen Blood Diamond, tho the review I got from a friend was much like yours. Very gory but so worth the watch. Ant Bully we loved too! You’ll enjoy Open Season .. very cute and funny!
Enjoy your kiddies.
Arlene, I’m sorry to hear that you’re still not feeling well! Hang in there (so trite, I know) and feel better soon, OK?
Mine loved Open Season too. I am moving Blood Diamond to the top of my Netflix list. I bet having clean hair made you feel a little better at least for a while.
funny that you took a photo of the eggs! lol
You look great! If you are running a fever you may need to see the doctor!! R&R!!
you poor thing. Hope you get better soon. Miss you much.
AWWW~ for the eggs! hahah! early easter huh!!!
hope you are feelin’ better mah friend!!!
keep in touch!
I’m glad you’re going to the doctor tomorrow — I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. It seems to be some kind of Murphy’s Law that a spill like with the eggs will happen when we’re not feeling the best. (I have an egg out right now for making my Irish Soda Bread and I have some trepidation about that, because Socks loves to push items off of my countertops, but it’s on my island and she hasn’t gotten up there for a while — knock on wood! LOL!) Take care of yourself, my friend!
Too bad you’re not feeling 100% but you’re getting around.
Uh-oh. A fever is not good. Does your doc say anything about it? Take care of yourself and enjoy your snuggle bug doggie and your kiddies too!
*Gloria – We’ll have to watch it this weekend
*Ktlee – Silly girl!
*Carlos – I like to read reviews, just to see how they’re review compares to my own
*Movin Mom – I hated The Departed! I have no idea how it got good reviews and awards!! Happy Feet was so adorable!! We saw it in the theater and I loved it! Oh yeah, so did the kids
*Rach – We all kinda have the same tastes in movies here…guess it’s why we enjoy each others’ blogs
Clean hair is like a clean floor, makes all the difference!!!
*Dan – I’m working on it!
*Wendy – The clean hair was great!! I’m going to wash it again today, and try not to let ANYTHING, including water, touch my oh so sensitive nose!
*Kate – I take pictures of everything
*Anon – I’m working on it!
*Zhasha – Thanks
*Suzanne R – Yeah, it’s only the second time I’ve dropped eggs. I was probably sick then too! I hope Socks didn’t knock your egg off!!
*Teena – Yup, I am
*Fleur de Lisa – I’m getting lots of snuggle time
